Ok, big cold front came in today and temperature went from 70s-80s to 50-60s. I went for a drive tonight and noticed that my air fuel gauge is showing 1-2 yellows again along with a few greens. I get 1 yellow again around 4-5k and the 2nd yellow pops up around 6-7k.

Im guessing since the cold air is more dense, I need more fuel... right?

So, do you guys set your static fuel pressure higher in the winter than in the summer?

My static fuel pressure is 58psi. Its the 6psi kit on a 94 gsr with a walbro gss-342, thats it.

I reckon I'll bump the fuel pressure up a couple psi again... but, I'm just wondering if you guys have different settings in the winter, summer, etc, etc.

colder intake temps = ecu dumps more fuel and adds some timing.

JRSC is garbage. I speak from experience.

    sorry...forgot to finish that post...

so yea..it's weird that you're running leaner now.

theres some funky stuff going on with my car...

it started running lean last night... then today the air/fuel gauge started acting funny. it wasn't working at all, and then it was working, and then it wasn't and then it was, and then at WOT the lights did not go green, but, continued to bounce back and forth like they normally do. then a few hours later, the gauge decided to work fine again. however, now it seems to be even a bit leaner than last night... ?

i also got a new fuel pressure sending unit and hooked up the 2 wires to it, but, my gauge isn't showing anything at all... doh. im going to have to re-check all my connections and see if i can find anything out.

im not sure whats up with the mixture getting leaner... along with the gauge bouncing around at WOT. if it wasn't working at all, i'd assume a bad connection... however, it was working it was just bouncing around from red to yellow during WOT... ?

    Mikey,

My novice response to that would be to question if the FPR is responding to boost at all. It doesn't sound like it's adding any fuel?

thats what im wondering too... however, in the midst of this "lean" problem, my air/fuel gauge is acting up and I haven't got my electronic fuel pressure gauge to work. im going to try to get the gauges to work so they'll aid in my trouble-shooting.

however, it seems to be getting leaner and leaner... its like it was getting lean around 5000rpm... then like 4000rpm the next day... tonight at 3000rpm i can floor it and i see orange lights already... ?

Make sure the connections for your A/F meter at your O2 sensor wires are solid. I had a similar problem when I had a bad connection for the guage itself since it only measures like 1v max and any degradation of signal will equal false readings.
